Experience Matters
Safer Schools, Academic Equity, Responsible Stewardship.
Experience Matters!
A school board member’s experience matters because every decision affects classrooms, safety, and student success. Students’ experience matters because their daily lives in school shape their confidence and learning. Experienced teachers matter because their skill and judgment help every child grow. And families’ experience matters because strong schools are built on trust, communication, and partnership. When all of these experiences are honored, our schools thrive.
Community Matters
I have been involved in our community with many organization outside the work of the school. Community service matters because it is how we show love in action. It’s where values become visible in the way we show up for neighbors, lift up families, and strengthen the places we call home.
I serve because I believe community is built, not inherited. Every hour given, every hand extended, every moment spent listening or helping is a promise that we are responsible for one another. My involvement is rooted in gratitude for those who poured into me, and in a commitment to ensure others feel seen, supported, and valued.
Service is how I honor the past, invest in the present, and shape a future where everyone has the chance to thrive.
Supporting Our Students
I believe in a shared commitment to youth development. Literacy is key to the success of every child. I also know the importance of supporting our teachers with the teaching of reading so that they are equipped to lay a strong foundation for each child to be a strong reader. Reading is essential!
